Softcore: Mexico Style

Softcore: Mexico Style

Roll your mouse over the picture of the clean, well-dressed Ernie to see what Anne had to work with.
Do the same with Anne’s picture, if you dare.
Ernie’s Dad and Best Man gave the toast. He wrote it himself and it was wonderful. The text appears below.

It has been said that when children find true love,
Parents find true joy. And as your parents,
It means the world to us to see you both so happy.
Thank you for the joy you have brought us.
Here’s to our son and his beautiful new wife,
To Ernie and Anne,
May you both grow old on the same pillow.
Anne and her Dad arrived in a horse-drawn carriage…

And he brought her down the aisle.

Before anyone could stop them, Anne and Ernie were making out!

Then it was time for cake.

They like cake…

But soon they were making out again.

After the ceremony, Anne and Ernie snuck off to a secluded part of the beach for some pictures of just the two of them.

Here’s the wedding party. From left to right:
John Kirchhofer, Ernie Halal (Big E), Susan Rogers and Katrina Koomey.

The proud parents: Ernie, Mary, Carol and Mike.

And Susan was kind enough to keep the drinks coming to the head table during the reception!

Angel and Chris

Rosa, Hunter and Carol

Coach and Lulu (that’s Don in the background and the back of Harry on the right)

Patti (the entertainment) and Ann Marie

Tom, Shawn, Heather, Marty, John and Allison

Barney made an appearance on the cake…

And W needed a pep talk before he made his move.

But pretty soon they were sharing champaign.

Even so, it looks like W went home alone.

The weather was perfect, too.
Anne and Ernie even had a rainbow.

The whole thing was so cool. Anne and Ernie couldn’t believe
how many people came all the way to Mexico to see them
exchange vows. I don’t think they could put into words
how much that meant to them.
Don’t forget to check out Big Ernie’s toast, too.
There were questions about the sheer number of illegal aliens Anne hung out with.

But those concerns melted away when Ernie realized how much he had in common with them.

So while her Dad’s first reaction to Ernie marrying his daughter sent him back to his Navy days
figuring out how to tie the right knot so as to hang him out back as a warning to all other suitors…

Ernie’s Dad was looking forward to napping somewhere he had never napped before… Mexico!

Anne’s brother Chris even decided to take time off from his busy schedule as an NBA star to make the trip.

Now, without further ado… the wedding!
| After much soul-searching and exhaustive brochure-reading, Anne and Ernie decided to get married at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico. Their family and friends were so excited about their plans they couldn’t wait to go and share the moment. But they didn’t get there overnight. In the beginning… |
Strangely, no childhood photos of Ernie were available, so here’s a picture of Anne from way back when.

Anne and Ernie grew up and finally met in September of 1998 in Fairfax, Virginia.

Anne taught Ernie about things like shaving and ironing.
Ernie taught Anne about things, too, like meat and how it is good.

They grew closer and closer.
Anne even fessed up about her wilder days and the marks they had left upon her.
